For having such lazy weekends for the last three months, I can't believe how busy this one has been! It's like right as I'm about to leave, a social life pops up. Ah well, doesn't life just always happen that way?
Friday night,
lenaen called and invited me out to dinner with
lilacwire,
tsubame_gaeshi,
_skye_, and
_skye_'s sister. We ended up at the Macaroni Grill, which is one of my favorite restaurants. I really enjoy the food and always have a good time when I go there. (That, and the lighting makes my ring shine so pretty!) It was a little strange because I felt like the waiter kept giving me
the eyes, but maybe he was just one of those people who stares a lot. You know those people? Anyhow, I have not laughed that hard in a long time. Afterwards we went back to
lilacwire's place and hung out for a few hours. I finally headed back home around midnight and crashed.
Yesterday was a day spent, yet again, for packing. The extra boxes I got from my dad Thursday night are definitely going to come in handy, and more progress was made. It's getting rather sad in my place because I took down most of my pictures, and that really is what finalizes the fact that I'm leaving (to me). It's all echo-y in my living room. Then last night
msdestynie invited me to tag along to a birthday/house warming party of one of her ex-coworkers. It was all the way out in Thornton in the middle of nowhere. But the house was nice, the people were fun, and the food was good. We didn't stay too late, but she came back over to my place and we stayed up until 12:30 talking before she went home.
As we were sitting outside, I got a little chilly and decided I needed a jacket. I went in to grab one, put it on, and felt my back start to burn. I took the jacket off, looked inside, and there was this little white bug running around in it. I think he must have been in my hair and got scared when I "trapped" him. Anyhow, he bit me three times, but I had the last say and washed his bug butt down the drain. I have three bite marks this morning, but at least I can't feel the burning anymore.
Well, off to left-overs and more packing. I have posters that need to come off the bedroom walls....
